2017 Brand Favourites
A list of my favourite brands from 2017. There are soo many more brands and products that I love that the list could go on forever, but I wouldn't want to bore anyone. So without further ado...
The go to for burgers and sausages! The brand is primarily vegetarian based but the majority of products are vegan friendly.
My top 3:
- Mushroom & spinach burgers
- Chorizo and red pepper sausages
- Red onion and rosemary sausages
Violife
If you think you couldn't give up cheese then guess what? You don't have to! Vegan cheese can be an acquired taste but Violife are definitely the closest tasting substitute.

Oatly
I'm not going to lie. Most plant based milks split in coffee making it look CHUNKY. Vom! Cue the Oatly Barista Milk to save the day! Not only does it not split, it tastes like a creamy coffee dream...

Most mainstream brands of crisps are Vegan but I am literally obsessed with these. Step aside potatoes, these are made from quinoa or lentils or hummus. Healthy and tasty. Win, win!
My top 3:
- Chilli and lemon lentil chips
- Jalapeno and white cheddar quinoa puffs
- Sour cream and chive quinoa chips
The Vegan Kind are an online supermarket that specialise in Vegan products. They hold more niche brands as well as a monthly subscription service that is great for discovering new brands!
Hands down the best variety of options from a non-Vegan restaurant. There is so much on the menu to choose from including 95% of the wine list! The plates even come out labelled for extra reassurance!
My top 3:
- Vegan Margherita (with chillies and mushrooms)
- Lentil Ragu
- Coconut and Chocolate Gelato
I'm obsessed with The Body Shop! They are strongly against animal testing and everything is cruelty free. They do still use beeswax in some of their products however there are a large amount of Vegan friendly items.
My top 3:
- Himalayan Charcoal Clay Mask
- Tea Tree Facial Wash
- Matte Clay Skin Clarifying Foundation
Eden are a family run business based in Brighton that specialise in producing Vegan 'dupes' for branded fragrances. You can literally search for your favourite perfume on the website and voila; the equivalent scent will appear. The matches are incredibly similar and great value for money.
So Superdrug are not specifically Vegan targeted but they are more Vegan friendly than you would first think. All of the Superdrug own brand ranges are cruelty free as well as carrying brands such as E.L.F. and Make Up Revolution. Perfect place for all your beauty basics!
My top 3:
- Fragrance Lab body spray
- Charcoal Sensitive Whitening Toothpaste
- Volumising Dry Shampoo

Cleaning products. Boring but essential. Method make plant based cleaning essentials that are Leaping Bunny certified. They seem pricier than the other brands but, in my humble opinion, give better results and last longer so are actually better value for money.
Spick and span knowing that no bleach has touched a bunny's eye - bonus!
My top 3:
- Botanical Garden Hand Soap
- Wild Rhubarb Antibacterial Cleaner
- Water Mint Bathroom Cleaner
